FCKEditor adding nbsp; to lists and tables

I have a problem with the FCKEditor I’ve installed in EE. Works fine except that it adds

for code indents when used in the WYSIWYG state.

There’s an error on the page when I open the editor: “clear state not defined”, but I don’t know what to do about it. The error doesn’t seem to interfere with functioning.
