Hello all. Today, I launched my new site, Sparkplugs, and with it, a brand spanking new version of Taggable. Taggable 1.2 brings a plethora of new features and updates. Among 15 or so bug fixes, 1.2 also hosts to an exciting new Import and Export feature, which makes migrating from another system easy. The Import feature can import tags from Taggable, Solspace’s Tag, Tagger Lite and WordPress, so if you’re migrating from an older version of EE, or even a different CMS, we’re sure to support you.
Additionally, 1.2 introduces some major architectural changes to Taggable. Now, instead of entering tags in the Tags tab, you create your own custom field, just like any other fieldtype. Due to this change, if you’re upgrading your copy of Taggable, you’ll need to use the upgrade utility in the Tools section of the control panel. Finally, Taggable 1.2 introduces a major change to the {exp:taggable:entries} tag, which makes it a lot easier to use and a lot more natural. Take a look at the full list of updates on the release notes page.
