Any expert advice about Google Maps?

Hi there, this is my first post on the community so I’m curious to see how it goes.

I’m currently doing a project for my Uni course which was essentially based around Google Maps. My first major obstacle was looking for an easy solution for a CMS (my PHP is very basic). After lots of research I decided to come here and use Expression Engine (which i’m still finding my feet with).

Does anyone have any advice on how I could go about dynamically adding things to a google map in Expression engine? I’m basically trying to produce useful information which is relevant to a Fooball (Soccer) fan who travels to away matches. Most importantly away friendly bars and pubs.

I ideally want to be able to add my data with a custom pin and a information bubble with a little review.

I have been playing with Geotagger but was wondering if there is another solution.

Will I need to abandon Expression Engine and create a Static Project? Any advice would be much appreciated.
