Getting an error with Field Frame installed

I just installed EE 1.6.9 on a server and I uploaded the FieldFrame extension and nGen and am getting the following error when I try to access the Extensions Manager. The only other extension that I have installed is JQuery for Control Panel.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘&’, expecting T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /web/new/ef-data/extensions/ext.fieldframe.php on line 337
