FieldFrame - 1.6.9 - Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE

Could the 1.6.9 update create any issues with extensions and plugins?
Specifically, FieldFrame and ImgSizer.
With FieldFrame installed, I get an error message when I go to Utilities > Extensions Manager: “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘&’, expecting T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /home/chrome/www/chromeshopmafia.com/site/admin/extensions/ext.fieldframe.php on line 337”
With ImgSizer installed, I get a blank screen when I go to Utilities > Plugin Manager.
I’ve narrowed it down to these two add-ons.
Any ideas would be appreciated as I tend to use these two add-ons heavily.
ramseymedia, I don’t know of anything in play with those two add ons. Though a search shows this. You can do a quick search in the files for site_pages - that might indicate the array change is a factor (and if so, definitely check w/the authors). But it may just be an ftp issue.
ETA- and shifted to extensions, for a better fit!
After I posted, I checked my PHP version and it’s 4 something, so I’m checking with the host about updating to 5, then I’ll see if I can get it to work.
