Hi - not sure this belongs in this forum but it’s driving me crazy.

I’m working on a really big exciting project and we’ve opted to go with EE2.0. All going well, except for a real annoyance I’m getting when using view files in my custom modules.

I keep getting error notices in the view files for every last minor issue - like undeclared variables. How do I turn this off?! CI2 seems to handle it differently than CI1.

I’m on the verge of hacking the Exception class which I’d really rather not do.

please, please help. thanks!

dp_miller, unfortunately we don’t offer direct support on building custom modules. But I can move this to the Modules forum, where other members of the community can help.

Solution:

The EE2 core library resets the error_reporting value based on the debug value in your config file. Mine had ended up at 1 - possibly a default on install, I’m not sure.

Hope this helps someone not have the frustration I’ve had.
