Sending HTML Email

hi,

i am creating a custom module and need to send out an email to user filling up a form.

if i set the mailtype to ‘text’ the emails gets sent successfully but changing the mailtype to ‘html’ results in following error. What do i need to do to send out an html email successfully.

Warning: mail() [function.mail]: Bad parameters to mail() function,
