Channel Files is now available at is Now Available http://www.devdemon.com

Channel Files is a straight forward, easy-to-use system for managing multiple files per entry in Expression Engine. The default installation of Expression Engine has little flexibility for managing several files in a single entry. Channel Files changes all that by allowing the end-user to upload, add a title, describe, edit categories, and order files all within the entry.

A group by category feature even allows the developer to display the files in groups per entry. The module allows you to control maximum upload size, limit extension types, manage categories, and choose weblogs to allow files. The module also removes the file from the server, so need for messy ftp cleanup.

Simple multiple files. Hope this module helps some of you!

Version History:

1.5.1 - Fixed bug with categories

Regards,

Brad Parscale

OK - a couple things…

when you sign up to your site you ask for confirmation of your terms…. you don’t have any! or at least I couldn’t see a link to them.

secondly, when it asks you to fill in your credit card details, it doesn’t appear to be on a secure page. call me paranoid, but it did put me off. I understand you don’t store card details on your site, but you still have to transmit the details from my browser to somewhere, and there’s no hint you have an SSL certificate in place.

on the plus side, looking forward to giving Tagger lite a go on the next job I use! If nothing else I’ll be able to use it on sites with the system above webroot as it doesn’t seem to rely on the AJAX limitations that Solspace’s Tag module does (and hence won’t work on sites above webroot, like their related entries module also does).

Hello Moogallo,

You are correct. We are using FoxyCart. But I don’t have CC’s turned on yet. We just have paypal. I turn that part off for now. Good catch. Didn’t even notice the terms, that is just the default EE user register.

Thanks for catching those two items… Fixing them now. This module is super helpful for many of our websites.
