I’ve got a Board of Directors directory on a client site using FF Matrix with nGen for the photo upload. There are 12 board members; I’ve uploaded 11, but when I try to add the last one, I get this error:

Notice: Undefined offset: 11 in [server-path]/extensions/fieldtypes/ngen_file_field/ft.ngen_file_field.php on line 454

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [server-path]/extensions/fieldtypes/ngen_file_field/ft.ngen_file_field.php:454) in /home/jcss/www/www/new/site_admin/core/core.functions.php on line 296

Does anyone have any clues for me? I’m not a php programmer, but definitely willing to learn something here, too.

Thanks!

Try remaking the image in photoshop, sometimes I notice a jpeg or png will be imporperly encoded and resaving it will fix the upload. Also make sure you aren’t uploading a huge file (dimensions or file size)

The photos are only 120x160, and all the others uploaded fine, so not sure about that.

However, when I went back in yesterday, the photo and entry were there and I had no more trouble with it. Not sure what happened, but it’s working now… . I love technology … 😊

Hi chaps, it seems I thought I’d narrowed it down to certain images through a painful trial and error process. So I copied them out, re-saved them. Still no joy, now it seems its simply erroring on the 19th image I’m uploading. I’m utterly baffled now!

Hi all, I have this well and truly sorted now. It was down to having large (300dpi) images in my upload folder. It was choking during thumbnail generation. I removed the images and downloaded the latest version of nGen File Field (1.0 at the mo) which now supports low resolution thumbnails (dropdown in the settings for that field). I also added a size limit in my upload prefs.

Now all is well!
