Field Frame Matrix not parsing tags?

I using the FF Matrix to create a list of links in an unordered list. However its not parsing path tags like “https://ellislab.com/asset/images/team-photo/”. Tried setting the field type to “text” and “textarea”. Is there a way to make it parse the tags?
