Moderator’s note: Moved to Plugins.

Hi,

Is it not possible to use language files for plugins? I am thinking about putting a lot of logic into plugins in a multilingual site but I read that plugins can’t use language files. Is that true?

Would you rather just pass language strings to the plugin via parameters?

Best, Sammi

You can use language files in plugins.

Just create language files named lang.my_plugin.php or whatever in the appropriate language-directories and pull them in using

$LANG->fetch_language_file("my_plugin");
