Moderator’s note: Moved to Plugins.

I am working on my first plugin and am interested to hear the best way to take data retrieved by a plugin and push it into a weblog.

Is there a build in method that makes this easy or do I need to create sql queries and execute those?

You need to push the data into a weblog table in the database? If so you would just use the DB class (assuming we’re talking about 1.6.x here).
