hi all,
I had added an extension called multiple_select_field to my EE version.
Then, a few months ago, I upgraded to EE version 1.6.8 (from a version that was about 2 years out of date.)
I just went to a weblog entry to change some of the infomration that I store in a multiple select field, and I can’t access any of the fields that are multiple select. They used to work fine. However, my webpage templates are still able to pull the info from those fields fine and properly.
So, what I suspect is that the version upgrade doesn’t work with the extension fully, and it won’t show up in the CP, but obvious the current data is still in the right place and right format in the DB.
Any suggestions of how I can add checkboxes into my CP and an SAEF on a weblog, without having to re-enter the checkbox info that is alreadyin there from the multiple_select_field extension? We hve about 300 entries, each with about 5 questions that have multiple entry, and re-entering that information will take us a while.
Thanks so much for any suggestions!
I looked on solspace and the forums here for info, but looks like that extension is out of date and no longer documented or available.

Hi Phoebe,
Are you sure that the extension was one of Solspace’s?
I only ask as the only Multi Select field I know of by that name was the one made by Mark Huot - Multi Select. Could it perhaps be that one instead?
Best wishes,
Mark
yes, totally right, it’s Mark Huot’s extension.
What I want to try is to uninstall the extension, and re-install it. I’m hoping then it will be displaying the checkbox options in the CP. Do you have any idea if this might work? I’m hesitant to do it, because our current live retrieval method in the templates works so well, I don’t want to affect the website in terms of displaying the multiple field data….
