Moderator’s note: Moved to Extensions.

I am reposting since I actually got past the problem that I originally put and now have a new one. I think my previous post got crossed with the response…

I am installing the FieldFrame extension. Info on that is here: http://brandon-kelly.com/fieldframe

I got to step 6, which says: “Set your Fieldtypes Folder’s path and URL in FieldFrame’s settings”

But I cannot figure out what is the correct path to put. My fieldframe folder is at the root of my site, in the place where the fieldframe instructions told me to put it: /admin/extensions/fieldtypes/ (“admin” is my EE backend)

In the fieldframe extensions manager, it gives as a sample of a correct path the following: /var/www/public_html/system/extensions/fieldtypes/

I have no clue how to make my path correct. Does it have to be like the sample path? I tried the obvious: /var/www/public_html/admin/extensions/fieldtypes/

As far as I’m concerned, /admin is the root, and I don’t know what to put before the “/admin” part of my path.

Additional info: The fieldframe manager also asks for a URL to the fieldframe folder, which I put as this: http://www.seidenschein.com/admin/extensions/fieldtypes/

Can anyone tell me what the correct path would be? Thanks! Rory

Hi Rory - You can find your folder path using EE’s PHP Info utility (Admin > Utilities > PHP Info). Scroll down to DOCUMENT_ROOT and that gives you your starting point. Then, just add your “/admin/extensions/fieldtypes/” to give you your full path. Hope that works for you.

I was unable to find any document_root path in the place you specified, but I was able to get the correct path by modeling it after my themes path in my EE setup. Thanks for your response. I really appreciate the help!

Or look here CP Home › Admin › System Preferences › General Configuration then look at Theme Folder Path and the path that is there.

hope that helps.

Yes, that last suggestion was the one that solved the problem. Thank you!
