Hmm. May I ask what the support options are? I seem to not be able to log into your website anymore, Mike—did you delete some accounts?

We did make some changes last night that effected accounts created in the last two days, feel free to register or email me and we will get you set up. For support you can post here, on our forums, or create a support ticket on our website.
Hope this helps, sorry for the inconvenience.

Justin your account is created and active. Use the email address and password you entered during your purchase.

I’ve registered, but your site still seems to have persistant login issues—I login, but then am promptly kicked out.
So I’ll ask here. How do you set up a weblog for FoxEE? I’m getting a “not allowed to post” when I try to add a new item. What fields, etc. should my products weblog have?

I was having the same problem for a bit then I remembered that I had not enabled the extension in the control panel. Now when I select the store weblog that I have created via the publish tab I can now click on the FoxEE tab and create the product and it is working great.
Now I am trying to set up a subscription that has a set up fee, I haven’t finished reading through the docs yet though

Ah, I see. Thanks for the advice! That worked well.
I still think that the “add item” button on the main FoxEE module page shouldn’t give an error though.

I agree but it might just be a bug that they will get fixed in a while. I am having trouble with subscriptions right now. I can not create a subscription via the Publish module

Hey jlo1987,
Thanks for chiming in and sharing your experiences. We are working with Vanceone to fix their “add item” issue. We believe tat it’s a setup issue at this time but we will post the results here for everybody.
For subscriptions you need to create a subscription in the settings tab before it will be available in the Publish/Foxee entry for your product.

I see payment gateway for paypal has to be paypalpro,or payflow? They have a monthly fees and hassle too.
#27 / Nov 07, 2008 8:34pm
That makes sense, as PayPal should be used with Simple Commerce or your own API, PayPalPro and PayFlow are geared more towards larger corporations who’s banks require the extra security for e-commerce transactions.
I’m not sure if FoxyCart has any plans to implement the standard PayPal merchant accounts but I’ll ask them.

Quantum Gateway (recommended by FoxyCart) is a pretty simple payment gateway, it will be a little cheaper then PayPal Payflow if you are doing a few small transactions each month. But as your store increase it will quickly become more expensive as they charge a % of the sale.

Wow! Looking forward to giving this a whirl on an ee-powered site around xmas. We’ve gotten by with the Simple Commerce module till now, which leads to constant small issues and hassles. Congratulations Michael.

I have 2 questions (only one really related to Foxee):
1) Since you said all products are handled locally (on EE) can Foxycart handle the shipping costs if you want to use live shipping rates rather than a flat rate?
2) Does CDG (quantum commerce) accept international purchases?
