I’m lying in bed it’s around 6:30 am and thinking I got to get a gun to protect my self from the global collapse of our economy. joe biden eluded to it when he said it would be no more then 6 months before the world test barack with an international crisis.  I did a search on google for February 2009 collapse and sure enough something is planned for 6 months from now.

today the city is offering 200 a gun no questions asked it makes me think why do they want to disarm us? are they preparing us for martial law?

do you believe the hype? if every one had a gun would the streets be safer? I think it would be a real deterrent to theft and home invasions don’t you?  I want a hand gun to protect my home how do I get a gun? Is it ok to have a gun at home for protection? If somebody entered your home and you had a gun permit can you shoot them?  Can a Jehovah Witness have a gun at home to protect their life and not be dis fellowshipped? I am not a witness I’m just wondering?

google china gets ameros from america that is what fueled my thoughts for the post.

    GOOD day

I really don’t want you to take this the wrong way, but instead of a gun, I think it may be beneficial if you looked into psychiatric treatment.  At the least, share your thoughts with family and friends and try to gain some feedback from them.

I think that the Biden comment has been spun in an attempt to scare and that isn’t the first gun buy back program. Also, look at murder rates in countries without gun rights vs. the US.

If you want to buy a gun, go to a shooting range first and find out what using a gun is really like. It’s loud—really loud. Don’t buy a gun if you don’t know how to use it safely and effectively.

If you’re worried about some sort of catastrophe, though, there are far more useful ways of preparing yourself. If you live in a city, form an escape plan and put together an escape kit of light dry foods and water to get you outside the city limits. Train in Parkour, since it’s far more useful generally than owning a gun—you don’t need anything to do it, and it’s better to escape than to stand and fight. Make friends in the country, get involved in Peak Oil groups.

Lastly, be immensely skeptical of what you read on the internet. There’s no barrier to entry, so some really misinformed people are out there.

I’m generally pretty sceptical about Michael Moore’s films, but this thread made me think of Bowling for Columbine. Giving Americans guns is NOT a good idea. Giving anyone guns actually. I’m quite happy Belgium’s so strict on them.

People having guns is always a bad idea.  Yet, if there is one thing the internet has taught me, it’s to buy an empty pump-action shotgun.  That sound is all it takes…

All the other nonsense is in the same boat as “we never landed on the moon” and “sprinklers don’t make rainbows”.

Gun-related deaths and injuries aren’t as big of an issue as many people would imagine. Every year in the United States, twice as many people die in car accidents as in gun-related incidents, but there’s no movement to limit the number of cars on the roads explicitly for that reason. Gun ownership is a fundamental construction of government in the U.S., while car ownership is not, and yet cars represent a significantly greater danger. Switzerland has one of the highest per-capita gun ownership rates in the world (third, behind the United States and Yemen), but recorded only a double handful of violent incidents with firearms last year.

The issue isn’t the nature of the weapon, the issue is the nature of the culture in which the weapon exists. That’s all I’ll say on the subject.

The people who talk about the North American Union are misinformed. As I said earlier, the barrier to entry for publishing information on the internet is so low that there’s a lot out there that’s simply and entirely wrong.

I don’t recommend that you buy a gun, because if you are as stupid as you sound, you will probably shoot yourself by mistake.

All Swiss men have to go to the army and they have to return a few times during the course of their life, at least that is what i was told. I can’t imagine every man in America to go in the army to get the proper training to handle guns.
But lately the Swiss are beginning to protest against the right to bare arms as there have been a number of very violent incidents. One i know of is a man who entered the town hall and started shooting at the officials.

I think if you want to have a weapon you should know how to handle it, store it safely and pass a psychological test to prove you understand the power of a gun.
And the test should have a time limit. In Belgium there is a trend of elder people who start shooting at neighbours and children for the littlest things.

Do you live in Belgium? I do, and have not noticed this trend as yet 😊

Frenzal you should follow the news more closely 😉 This summer a man in his seventies shot a neighbour because he didn’t want him to barbecue. Last week a 50 something year old man shot his wife on the steps of the courthouse. And last summer more than one elderly man shot at children because they were making too much noise. Of course that is not the whole story in these cases but the measures they took can/did have dramatic consequences.

Young people now have problems to get guns because of the murders in Antwerp but now they shoot with air pressure guns.

The worst thing about having guns is that you can only deal with the aftermath. You never know who is going to do something crazy with it.
