Is EE2 still a publishing platform or will it have social networking features included?

    Best wishes

    Hi Leslie,

thanks for the reply, I expected the stock answer.

But given MT has and WP is getting social networking features I thought EE might want to enlighten the community to their plans on this - obviously not.

    Best wishes

    Hi Lee,

We don’t talk about things that aren’t ready for release. Its that simple. Are there specific features you are looking for? “Social networking features” can mean a hundred different things.

According to Wiki, the USAs summer season ends on the first Monday in September.

Either way I think summer is past (judging by the weather here in Scotland it’s long!) and an update would be much appreciated 😉

Actually, the first two sentences of this article read:

The seasons are popularly considered in some Western countries to start at the equinoxes and solstices, based on astronomical reckoning. Thus, in the Northern hemisphere, based on astronomy, summer begins on the day of the June solstice and ends on the September equinox. When it is summer in the northern hemisphere it is winter in the southern hemisphere, and vice versa.

    And then:

Meanwhile, the astronomical definition is more frequently used in the United States.

It’s probably beside the point, but still…

    Agree.

What does Leslie class as the near future? Is there going to be an update this month or will you actually release it by the 22nd September?

We’ll start with an update on the EE blog in the near future and go from there. In either case, we’re due for more info on our end.

As to summer, regardless of the technicalities, its raining like mad and below 70 in my neck of the woods (Lincoln NE) so its feeling just about over regardless.
