    Hi everyone!

Since EE2.0 will have jquery goodness in it, I’ve decided to start learning.  The docs at http://docs.jquery.com/Tutorials:Getting_Started_with_jQuery are great - and I’m starting to get an idea how it works.

If anyone has any other links for jquery for a newbie, please feel free to share them here.

I found (well, find) “jquery in action” a most valuable book.

If you’re one of those people who learn by doing, I found this page of simple tutorials really helped jquery click for me:

I’m working my way through Beginning javascript Development with DOM Scripting and Ajax in order to learn Javascript. My primary purpose is to get the foundations of javascript and then move on to JQuery. Anyhow I’ll definitely be checking out all the resources linked on this thread.

jQuery works… The best thing about javascript ever copy + Paste.
Sign up for the New Releases feed, then follow the bread crumbs back to the homepage, and hop out to the demo page. There’s usually something interesting.

Further to what I said above (recommending “jquery in action”), and having compared the available books on the subject, I like “Learning jQuery” even better. Guess I am a book kind of person 😊 ...

@ Leevi - checking jQ for designers, thanks!

Here’s a few resources that have assisted me:

    jQuery @ Devkick.com

    15 Days of jQuery

    Noupe.com category: jQuery

Learning jQuery and the reference guide companion are solid too.

In terms of plugins, this guy is a stud:

    Malsup jQuery plugins

    trif3cta,
I took a look at a couple of tutorials from 15 days of jquery - easy to understand and well written. Thanks for the resource.

and the rounded corners plugin from Malsup jQuery plugins has me biting at the bit to jump in and learn stuff.

Glad you find them useful. I always end up back at the two places you mention when I’m googling jQuery things.
