Whenever you have the time to get to it is fine - no rush, especially since this is a voluntary deal. Thanks!

Hi CI’s! (first post here.. from the more visual and EE side of eLife)
Am i correct in seeing InkType as a WordPress rival? Any good? And from an ease-of-use perspective?
I might be willing to donate some visuals/graphics/creative if it lives up to my hopes/wishes in that area; being: simplicity and ease of use for, more often then not, dummy users on top of rocksolid CI/EE-ness.
Lot’s of potential such a project has!
Drop me a note!

@Rrr Pro: Thanks for your interest. If you mean ‘rival’ in the sense that InkType aims to offer the same features as Wordpress, then I guess you could say InkType might be considered a ‘rival’ to WordPress… although I see it more as a ‘choice’. I want us CI’ers to have a top-notch CI based blogging platform to use as we wish - and that’s where InkType fits in.
My main goal in application development is always ease of use… not to say that things can’t be done better / made easier—but that’s always my goal. I’d say InkType is pretty easy to use right now - but as soon as I get the initial documentation finished, it will uncover some of the things you can do with it that aren’t so obvious via the interface.
You can download InkType from the link in my signature to set up and toy around with if you’d like… and if you like what you see, maybe you can contribute some stuff to the design side of things!

Sorry it took a bit longer but I wanted to make it as good as I could.
I have a valid XHTML 1.0 Strict code and the preview should look about the same in IE6, IE7, FF2 and Opera9.
I changed the menu a tiny little bit, but I commented in the css what you need to remove if you like the original better…
Here’s a link for preview: http://www.hojelentes.hu/thoer/inktype/
Here’s the packed thing: http://www.hojelentes.hu/thoer/inktype/it.zip
Thanks for The Man in Blue for FooterStickAlt and Stu Nicholls for sharing the centered floating menu.

@Thoer - Your work and effort is GREATLY appreciated! First thing I’m going to do with this is convert it into an InkType template and pack it in with the next release… second thing I’m going to do with this is use it on http://www.inktype.org as the main website theme. Thanks!
