Being Irish, I’m in the horrors with the shocking performance of our team. The minnows are doing well though. I’d say New Zealand and South Africa for final?

I don’t have the first clue about Rugby, but I have a good friend from New Zealand, so Go ALL BLACKS!

Being Aussie indeed. They are looking good and now you have Gregan back as a captain! Old times again. I do think Stirling Mortlock is a cooler name.
And yes All Blacks, never bet against them.

From New Zealand.
Very optimistic this time.

Well that was a humiliating Irish defeat by the French. My god we were awful! The greatest Irish side ever and we looked like Namibia. So that’s us gone for the World Cup. Goodbye.

a team of stars
or a star team
Though your team were OK up the middle but typical northern hemisphere kicking duel.

Nothing humiliating really: when I saw those guys crying during their national anthem and their legendary fighting spirit on the field nothing to be ashamed of. The French will not pass the quarter finals as there’s nothing to win against teams south of the equator.

Whatever happens now the Rugby World Cup seems to be a huge success.
Staggering crowds and great atmosphere. Still lots to come.

Pity our national anthem was not played…not that that would have made a difference with the current team

It was strange that we didn’t have our ‘First National Anthem’ played.
A few friends went to the match and said the atmosphere was amazing. It is great that some of the ‘minnows’ are playing well. Portugal seem to be a big favourite.
Think now it could be The Blacks and the Aussies in the final. Any bets? Five pints to the winner?

Shame Ireland couldn’t pull a performance out of the bag last friday. They seemed committed enough but still no excuse for dropping ball and giving away silly penalties. Terrible bench selection and use of subs by Eddie.
Still you have to hope we’ll beat the Pumas on Sunday.

Well in the light of the Argentines slammer against Namibia it doesn’t look good.

Looks like some interesting games coming up in the weekend.
Playing times aren’t perfect for down here but getting the supplies in for some serious watching.

With a mystery punter staking almost $6 million on an All Blacks win Dave_Hs wager is looking like small beer.
Good luck to all your teams.

I’m English and we are the World Champions (please note date of posting as this is going to go out of date very soon!) but I am watching some of the games despite the team being very, very mediocre! If England don’t beat Tonga tonight then they don’t deserve any condolences. I think England will end up playing Australia in the quarters and they might just raise the game (I think England have one great game in them and its not happened yet). Good to see the USA in the competition as they are the current Olympic Rugby Champions (last played in 1924 though!) and its great to see up coming nations like Georgia playing well.
And fingers crossed for Ireland when they play Argentina!!
I cannot envisage New Zealand loosing a game at all and they will be the champions at last, unless…
