Stephen, just to support your efforts here.
I think if it is convenient for you to release this, the best is not to try to add on to it now.
We would be very privileged, I think, to have use of your base arrangement.
Precisely my sentiments.

Thank you for the support.
Yes, I agree. I’m not interested in adding too much to it. What I am doing is working on a way for the templates to be part of a multi-client, multi-project scenario as opposed to being part of each individual website… as I originally stated.
This, as you might suspect, requires the use of the membership module. For the final release of these templates, I think it’s important to get something like this in place to suit most needs.
Prior to getting the membership stuff in place, I will post the finished templates and let you guys look at them and give some feedback.

Hello.
Just wanted to drop in and give an update regarding this project…
I have painstakingly worked in memberships for multiple clients. What this means is the “application” will now handle multiple clients with each having multiple projects. This was quite a challenge and even required a small piece of PHP (thanks to the_butcher) for tipping me off.
Also, I’m pretty stoked because the templates will run as is. No need to modify them each time a client is added. That was challenging too. The only reason you will ever need to modify the templates is if you want to add to the core functionality.
I’ll be back soon with another update.

Amazing news Mr.Slater!
Looking forward to your release!

well, i’m kinda curious too… at the moment i use flyspray (flyspray.org) but this would be a nice addition to some sites, as the customer already is learning EE.

Hey Stephen
Your implementation seems ideal. Would love to try it too. We use Activecollab right now… Frustrating to find documents across multiple project i.e. poor search facility.
We would need a way to duplicate post, as kind of “new project template”, for every new project.
Like your “documentation”
Let us know if you’d like some kind of contribution/efforts.
best.

Glad to see the interests. It’s very close to being finishing enough for release… I got caught up in a couple paying projects and couldn’t get to it over the last ten days or so. I’m going to attempt to finish it within the next week.

Would love to try them too. Any news Stephen?

Oh, the world of running my own business… Client this, client that… ugh!
Anyway, it’s at the top of my “desires todo” list and keeps getting bumped down my “have todo” list. The templates are complete from an EE integration standpoint, but I need to clean up some things before releasing them into the wild.
If all goes well with finishing up this one project today and a bit of paper work tomorrow, I should have the weekend to spend on it.
Anyway, thanks for your patience.

I’m interested, too. I may start developing my own based on the same idea, but I really like the possibilities this lays out.

We use PROJECT minder project management software from PH-Media.
It’s a very accommodating bit of kit which can be fully tailored to your specific industry.

We use PH-Media’s project management software - PROJECTminder.
It’s web based and is tailored to suit specific industries and so benefits us greatly as we take from it exactly what we need to.
ggrrr, trolling alert!

I’m not one to continue making false promises, so, like Ellis Lab, I’m not going to give an ETA. I do apologize for that, but my clients have been so demanding lately that having the free time to wrap this up has been impossible.
Having said that, it looks like today through Sunday I will be working on this project trying to pull something together to release into the wild. I will be asking your help to test it out. Once everything tests out, I will post a final version for download.
If this project gains traction, I would like to continue to evolve it because I see plenty of opportunity to expand on what it currently is.
