You are correct Clay.  Go with ActiveCollab.  We use it with success.  It’s not perfect, but really nice.

We got diverted on this project for a variety of reasons and were never confident in a public release.  My intentions, at the time of abandoning this project, were to see if EE 2.0 changed anything in terms of project feasibility.  I haven’t even looked at EE 2.0 yet, so it’s still a big unknown to me.

    Thanks!

@Slater yeah I get it, I’ve got so many projects I’ve started but never had time to finish, and with competition out there devoted to development on a single system.. it’s hard to compete without a large investment to back you. Thanks for trying though!

Yea the new version of active collab looks pretty nice. I used 0.7.1 back in the day and liked that. If I went this route I would definately go to corporate, since I could do everything from within one piece of software, but 500 bones is a bit steep for me at the moment. I need to roll out a few more projects before I make the dive here.

    Thanks for the input!

Did somebody works ProjectBubble.com I worked with for last two weeks with this service and n my opinion - in most moment is better than AC (which I used for a last two year).

project bubble looks OK, but the main reason I would want someting like Slater was doing or active collab is for the purpose of buy once and then host on my own server, not have someone else manage the information, just like good ol’ EE. :D
