What happens, if you try? Do you get a message? Which?
#5 / Feb 08, 2012 7:40am
If I click on any of the links nothing happens they just keep me on the CP home page. I’ve looked at the hyperlink and its set as ............/admin.php?S=0&D=cp&C=homepage# so its just looping back to the homepage. I get no error message!

Do you have Javascript enabled? Does your browser report any Javascript errors?
Out of curiosity, what happens if you manually enter the URL to, say, the template manager:
admin.php?S=0&D=cp&C=design&M=manager

Yes Javascript is enabled, and I could access these areas last week!
I can already get into the Template manager, can you provide me with the information for the tools link?

It’s probably due to a wrong path setting in the general configuration. Paste this at the end of the URL to go to the general configuration page:
&D=cp&C=admin_system&M=general_configuration

Thanks Leon, I’m in the general configuration but what am I looking for?

Any of those path settings incorrect? Such as:
- URL to your “themes” folder
- Theme folder path
I had the exact same problem once, turned out one of those settings still pointed to an old location when the site was moved on the server.
If you paste this at the end: &D=cp&C=tools_utilities&M=php_info
and scroll down the list, you’ll see DOCUMENT_ROOT
Match the value for that with the settings in General Settings.

The document root shows /home/jigsawatwork/htdocs/
The theme folder path is /home/jigsawatwork/htdocs/themes/ should this be changed?

Well, that looks alright, it appears you have EE installed in the root directory of your site (not in a subdirectory).
Then there should be a themes directory here:
http://www.jigsawatwork.com/themes
But that’s giving me a 404 message (directory doesn’t appear to exist), where it should display a 403 Forbidden message.
Where on the server is your themes directory? If you use FTP to browse the server’s contents, do you see the themes directory?

Hello simontmitchell,
I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.
I checked the link you gave Leon, it now reads correctly.
Where are you at with this issue? Could this be related to your other thread here?
I would love to help in any way I can. I will be looking for your response.
Cheers,

I was wondering the same thing. Themes directory seems to be in the correct location now. How are things going? We’re here to help.
