Anybody have anymore input on this?

I was ideally looking for a company which offered both hosting and VPS. If my site takes off I could look at moving to VPS rather than having to pay the extra $ first.

Host Gator offers both hosting and VPS but Linode gets better reviews for its VPS.

Media Temple has a mix of good and bad reviews. I cannot work out if there have substituted decent hosting for a lovely website.

Webfaction is a great hosting platform with a superior interface with always the possibility to upgrade to a server for yourself.

Glad to see this discussion, since I’m looking at new hosting options myself.

Currently, I’m using Hostgator, and they’ve been pretty good.  But sometimes I need to configure things myself and they don’t always allow it.

I need to have good reseller options, since my clients often ask me to host their sites.

I’ve been looking at Media Temple.  They look nice, but I’m not sure.
