I hate to resurrect old threads, but I was doing some house cleaning on one of my sites because it will soon get linked to from a highly-trafficed site.  I note that I still have times where no tweets show using the Twitter Timeline plugin.

    Any updates here?

I did updated the version 1x of the plugin to 1.3.1 but no change.

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I’m using just the twitter widget at this point - http://twitter.com/about/resources/widgets—easy to implement, show as many or as few tweets as you want and fully customizable with CSS.

Thanks Mel - swapped out the plugin for the widget.

Is ExpressionEngine (Ellis Labs) creating this plugin? What prevents the text from displaying?

It’s still an issue with the plugin.

Whats the status of this problem.  I am having an issue now.  Looks like it started for me with upgrade to EE 2.1.3 but I can’t be sure.

    Hey chrcollins–

Check out Sue’s link from the reply immediately before yours. It’s a pretty good explanation for what’s causing the errors. Unfortunately it’s not something that’s in our power to control due to the way Twitter handles its API resources. You might want to look at using Twitter’s own widget instead if their API is throttling the amount of calls coming from your IP.
