    I’m seeing a new problem, as of today - where URLs, hashtags and names have simply stopped being translated into links.

    These sites are running 1.6.8 with the (latest) 1.3 version of the plug-in.

    Looking forward to a fix to these issues with Twitter Timeline.

    For whatever reason when the error occurs it doesn’t display an error on my sites.  It just doesn’t display the twitter post.

    However, every time I clear the twitter timeline cache it’s fixed.  But after a day or two I have to clear the cache again.

    Can’t wait for this to be resolved.

    thanks to all for your diligent work.

    Same here – when I first installed the plugin, URLs, hashtags and mentions were all being linked.  Now, none of them are. 1.6.9 (latest build) of EE and 1.3 of the Twitter Timeline plugin.

    I am having the problem with links.  I use the code

    create_links="urls"

    but my links are no longer linkable since upgrading to the new version of Twitter timeline.  This is a big problem for me because we primarily use this to post links on our site.

    I’m embarrassed to say that I’m still on EE 1.6.7, Build 20090211.

    We are looking into issues with this plugin. In the meantime it’s probably a good idea to make sure you’re on a recent version of EE.

    Any update? I don’t mind it occasionally not working, but it somehow enabling and spitting out PHP errors is a bit worrying (despite debug being off), and I’m not sure how to stop it doing that.

    I am afraid not. We will post to this thread when we have more info.

    Same thing here. Links and hashtags worked when I first installed the plugin, URLs, hashtags and mentions were all being linked.  Now, none of them are. 1.6.9 (latest build) of EE and Twitter Timeline plugin 1.3. Any ideas on why the links/hashtags are not linking currently?

    Bumping this thread in the hope that this issue will be resolved soon, as we’re experiencing the same problem as Bradmac and others above. URLs, hashtags and mentions are not being linked.

    We’re using Twitter Timeline 1.3 (looks like Twitter Timeline 1.4 is available for EE2.x, but not for EE1.6.x?) with EE 1.6.8 build 20090723.

    {exp:twitter_timeline
        screen_name="GLADLaw"
        limit="1"
        create_links="user_mentions|hashtags|urls"
        cache="yes"
        refresh="10"
    }

      <div class="tweet">
        <blockquote class="tweet-text">{text}</blockquote>
      </div>

    {/exp:twitter_timeline}
