    HI,

Thanks to Mountee for the Coda Mode.

The trouble is, that if I’m in html mode, there is no EE highlighting. If I open in EE mode, there is no html highlighting or completion. Am I doing something wrong, or can something be done to merge the html and EE modes?

Otherwise, I won’t be able to use the EE mode.

    Thanks guys,

    Andrew

I’ll have a look in to this and see why both aren’t working.

Hey guys, we’ve just created a brand new ExpressionEngine 2.0 Mode for Coda, and are trying to gather any other useful EE resources for Coda and other Mac editors.

Just saw Mountee for the first time. Seriously well done. Can Mountee work with BBEdit or CSSEdit or any Mac editor? Are there resources for and Syntax Mode for BBEdit?

@grrramps Yes - Mountee will work with any editor. It mounts your templates on a drive, so your Mac just sees files and folders - which you can open in any editor.

In terms of the Developer’s Toolkit, we’ve gathered and created a collection of tools for anyone working with EE on a Mac. Unfortunately, we haven’t come across any for BBedit yet. Mountee will work with BBedit, but you won’t have syntax highlighting specific to EE.

We created an EE2 mode for Coda because there was a lot of demand (and it’s what we use ourselves). I’m not sure if there would be the same demand for a BBEdit mode?

Another thanks for the EE Mode with Coda.  It will go nicely with Mountee.

Sorry to bump an old thread, figured it was better than starting a new one. I put the ExpressionEngine.mode file in the ~/Library/Application Support/Coda/Modes folder and restarted CODA, but it’s not doing any highlighting. Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks!

EDIT: of course as soon as I make a post I figure it out. You have to go up to Text/Syntax Mode and select Expression Engine. If the guys from Mountee read this you might want to add this step to your instructions.
