Oy- can’t blame this one on Godaddy after all.  It was a misspelling- a missing ‘y’ in the specification of the domain name for the cookie.  I just tested w/the regular cp rather than the admin.php file(s)- but that was the core issue.  Can login using sessions+cookies to the backend and flip between sites no problem there.  May/may not need to tweak admin/path files depending on what all’s been done.  But core issue should be solved.

Test her out- let us know how it goes.

At any rate, so far so good. I am getting an extension error but I’ll holler at Leevi about that one when I get there.

I am finding another issue.

I cannot seem to pull weblog entries from the main site as I would have expected to. Take this bit of code as an example:

{exp:weblog:entries weblog="joseAppearances" site="Zaytinya" dynamic="off" disable="categories|member_data|pagination|trackbacks"}
<li><span class="bold">{entry_date format="%M %d, %Y"} </span> — {joseAppearancesText}</li>
{/exp:weblog:entries}
</ul>

If I understand correctly, this should pull the items from the original site (http://www.zaytinya.com/index.php/about_jose_andres/past_appearances) and display them on the new site (http://www.zaytinya.com/jaleo/index.php/about_jose_andres/past_appearances) but it does not. Any ideas why?

Is your site-shortname really Zaytinya, including the capital Z?  Same with the weblog short-name.  I’d start by double-checking those.

That did it. I was using the site label rather than the short name. Thanks!
