is anyone else having trouble getting the video to work in FireFox? FF3.6.3 latest flash plugin, popup opens fine and video controls work - but video area remains black.

It’s not flash… it’s HTML 5 video, which hasn’t been included in FF 3.6 yet. I believe that’s coming with FF 3.7.

Hm, its supposed to fall back to flash if HTML 5 video can’t be played, but I’m having troubles also. Sorry! Here’s a direct link to the video, and we’ll look into it more (I can’t play it in FF on mac either).

I think one thing EllisLab does really really well is come out with a product that, up until I saw the demo, I didn’t even know I needed. Can already think of a project I’d like to use this on!
Does it come with an e-commerce module?
(joking!)

Really awesome EllisLab, really awesome stuff. Someone mentioned pricing but I did not see it on the site, what kind of pricing are we talking about?

A little birdie told me that it will be around $50,- USD.

Oh wow, insanely inexpensive. This product is sure to be hugely popular, and also a phenomenally genius lead-in for expressionengine.

Correct. $49.95.

This looks interesting since every tiny site wants a CMS these days and setting up a full fledged CMS like EE takes probably more time than editing the few pages once in a while. This could be the missing link. One advanced feature which would be awesome would be the possibility to still somehow manage multilingual content.

Wow guys, for me this is great news! 😊
I’ve had a lot of clients that just want a simple website that they can maintain themselves. I always try to tell them that they should develop the content of their site, but in reality most don’t change much more then their contact details or every now and then a new product.
For that purpose EE is just to much power. So I’ve been working with Squarespace, Wordpress, HTML pages, Contribute, Pagelime and more. Each one has it own limitations-frustrations. Squaresoace worked very nice, but when you want some functionality the monthly hosting fee goes up quickly.
Also the possibility to upgrade to EE later is just fantastic.
So I’m very curious and will surely follow the release!

@noregt
Funny I went the similar path (Chyrp, FrogCMS and other light cms without focus on blog but rather pages)...even though of learning CI just to make something…but for $49.95 with assurance of upgrade to EE…why bother 😉

I think one of the key features for me of this software offering is the EE export. I was discussing this with some colleagues at EECI 2010 and we agreed that MojoMotor makes it easy to get an entry level client with a limited budget and only needing basic CMS capabilities onto the EE platform. As their needs grow, we could export the site from MM to EE.
Awesomeness.

Thanks guys, we couldn’t agree more. I appreciate the kind words and support! We’ll have mojo in your hands quickly, I promise 😊

I keep hearing Austin Powers “I’ve lost my mojo”

as much as this does seem useful, and a wonderful product (and ignoring that video still does not load in FF3.6 PC) - i am not 100% convinced how a client would feel jumping from a front end editing environment MM to a a backend environment EE. I have numerous clients that select a CMS purely based on this method of editing and will simple not switch as they cannot visualise or understand how it works “the other way round”.
I also am slightly frustrated at the limited offical news being released on this site about MM and the EE2.1 details as discussed at the meeting. I find it annoying that i end up going to other peoples sites, and find random snippets on forums about this and or that is happening - but nothing complete or official. Prime example of the price above - i found that out on another site, then here by a non EL employee, only then to be confirmed in a situation where i feel “they had no choice”.
To me this all seems a little bit backward - buit perhaps i am the only one that thinks this (or is bothered!) 😊
