    im just joshing with ya.
my hosting and domain DNS are separate.
i forward my sub-domains to particular site IP

i upload the files to the same place where i upload for site 1?
isn’t that the idea of multisite? same database, 2 separate sites.
the CMS decides where to redirect the site?

well ill talk to my database guys.

    Thanks for your time.

I am afraid I’m not following. To use the MSM you will need the two sites to reside on the same server. As has been mentioned before, the usual setup would be to map one subdirectory to the secondary site. This is done by the host/server, even before MSM comes into play.

I would like to repeat the bit of advice that Brandon gave earlier: create a “Hello World” .html file and upload this to your second domain. Be sure you can access it via your web browser.
