    Hi Thomas,

Is your moblog:check tag on the same template as the output from the channel assigned to Moblog?

    Cheers

    Hi Greg,

Yes, the error still showed when posting something new to the moblog.

code72, we’re going to concentrate on your issue first.

What I’ve done on one of my sites is to set up a moblog that I know works when clicking on the Check Moblog link in the control panel.

    Next I’m adding

    {exp:moblog:check which="howto" silent="false"}

to my page to see what error I get.

    And here is the result:

    Moblog was successfully checked
    Emails Retrieved: 1
    Entries Added: 1
    Attachments Uploaded: 1
    Pings Sent: 0
    After check moblog…

So how does my moblog differ from yours?

    1. I didn’t restrict who could send the emails.
    2. Very limited template.

If you test without the email restrictions, does it work?

    Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay, this is obviously on my personal site, so it’s kind of down the priority list a bit.  The template is already as simple as it could get I think, but I just removed the restriction on who could send the emails and I had a successful test.  I’ll test again over the next few days and see what happens.

Sorry for dragging this on forever.  Thanks for your help.  I’ll keep you posted.

Bad news, the error showed again.  I’m not sure what else to try.

Sorry for the delay, code72.  It’s an api issue, meaning it has ramifications beyond the moblog itself.  We’ve been bouncing around the core issue and have agreed on the approach to the fix, but it’s not completed yet.  Since it’s most definitely a bug, could you go ahead and enter it in the bug tracker?  It helps keep it consolidated and a developer will respond there once we have the fix in.

For the moment, you might want to hold off on the moblog tag unless it’s critical.  It’s basically running into a permissions error in the entry api when attempting to add entries.
