For what it’s worth,  it’s now been about ten days since I purchased,  and haven’t yet received any emails from developers.  Not one license!

Contacted EE-Heist guys a couple of times (email,  forum,  twitter),  but still haven’t been able to resolve this.

The addon developer sites aren’t even listed on the EE-Heist,  so I’m going through the code manually, looking for individual contact info or site info…

Real pain,  but I’m guessing that this could be an isolated case?

I managed to mess up my order (by idiotically providing the wrong email address) but Jack replied promptly and sorted me out, so I’d suggest that you may have just slipped under the rader and it’s nothing sinister.

As far as I’m aware you will just get the one email containing the license code from which you can download all the products in one bundle. I think it’s just silenz above who provides the additional very helpful details.

I have installed and am using some of them.  Never needed a license.

You still need help? I hadn’t seen anything come thru the email recently. Lemme know if there’s anything i can do. 😊

I’ll be the first to admit, it definitely didn’t go off without a hitch. There ended up being way more moving parts than previously expected (different dev licensing methods for one), and i certainly didn’t expect quite the “Christmas Morning” type of anticipation for the launch moment! The javascript countdown was a novelty, not a science 😊. Oh well! Lessons learned all around for next time, if and when we do it again.

Hopefully it did more good than harm, and that everyone is enjoying their shiney new modules! Any questions, just fire away!

Thoughts on how to improve it from the get-go next time?

    Jack,

Are there any modules other than Redline and Restricted Area that require a license? Those are the only ones I have received an email with licensing information from. I haven’t yet had an opportunity to install any of the modules so I’m not sure if there are others requiring a license.

Structure has one (it uses your Heist Key tho, no worries!) and I’m pretty sure Mobile Admin has one as well.

Yes, mobile Admin must have one.  I am trying to install it and it is not working.

There is not even a mention of this in any of the documentation in the download, the website or email I got.  So we are left to install and hope it works.  When it doesn’t we then have to go track down the license.

It is one thing to not have the licenses automatically generated.  I can live with out that.  However to not have ANY documentation to explain what will need a license and how to get it??  Rather busch league if you ask me.  Definitely something that will need to be changed.

I got a list of all the links to all the developer’s sites up on the site—with notes on the ones with licenses and how to get them. Hopefully that helps!
