(my $0.02 on pricing and core: what’s the fuss? EE is still underpriced, total bargain…least expensive aspect of total site cost. I’d pay more for my license)

    Lisa/Leslie,

Can i ask a theoretical question about forum 2.0 ...
I am a happy forum user, but historically it has been difficult for my developer to modify forum (relative to regular template). For example, I’d really like to add tagging to the forum, among other features ... is there any reason to think that forum modifications in EE 2.0 will be easier for my (awesome) developer?

The initial EE 2.0 release focuses on moving EE onto CI and improving the primary toolset. EE 2.x will see us return to a normalized dev cycle where we add new features and work on the existing add-ons, such as the forums.

Do you have a recent version of Quicktime installed? And are you getting an error, does the page just stop loading, something else?

    Hi Guys,
Just wondering if theres any possiblity of you providing some sort of promotional document for EE with all the features/benefits etc, which we can attach to tenders? Its a pretty new system that not many people have heard of (esp. in NZ), so the easier you can make it for us to sell to clients, the better!
    Thanks

    Hi, Dave,

We are aware of the need for more media materials in general.  That is something that comes up in sales a bit.  We’ll be looking at that in the future.

Please note that the FAQ has received a few significant updates which means some of the information on this thread is out of date. In the interest of keeping the most updated information separate from the old info, we’ve started a new thread for the Official FAQ.

The changes are described in the You Spoke, We Listened blog post and the FAQ has been updated as well.
