Beta1, without question, has been a resounding success. We’ve said that already but as Beta1 enters its final days its worth saying again.
We hit a significant milestone last week with a UI breakthrough that the entire team is thrilled with.

Firefight was fantastic!
And, and because someone will ask, yes Beta2 applications are for everybody. Not all applications will be accepted but there are no restrictions on who can apply. The point of Beta2 is to significantly widen the testing audience.

For clarification purposes, if someone is in Beta1, will they need to re-apply for Beta2, or are they grandfathered in?

All phase one participants will automatically be included in phase two unless they contact me and ask me to remove them.

Keep on working, thanks for the news on EE2. What about the survey, is that forgotten?

Survey not forgotten, just delayed a week in favor of direct survey by phone last week.

Hey, guys… how do we register for Beta2 again? All I could find was the page for the closed developer beta.
Thanks! I really am looking forward to 2.0. Literally… I check this site everyday for news. CHECK MY IP! lol…

Hi, John - the beta 2 applications aren’t open quite yet, as explained in Les’ post. =)

I suppose I’m not doing myself any favors as a potential beta2 tester by coming across as a dunce that can’t read, huh. lol…
Ok, thanks, Lisa! I’ll keep my eyes open!

I’m not promising but rather am expressing hope that the application for Beta2 will be available prior to the next 2.0 blog update.
That is to say, it’s possible you could bring Beta2 into the light of day within the next two weeks?

It takes us awhile to sift through the apps so the idea is to get the application out prior to Beta2 being code ready so there is minimal down time between beta1 and beta2. But yes, ideally its application for Beta2 within two weeks with Beta2 beginning shortly thereafter.
