Unfortunately I haven’t had much time to play with it other than installing and navigating the interface, but I’m stoked with what I’ve seen so far.

Will dive in deeper tomorrow and Friday but then I’m away from my computer for a week while I go bask in the tropical sunshine of Thailand.

Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm Sean. The NDA police will no doubt arrive at your door shortly, lol.
Maybe post screenshots on a torrent site somewhere 😉

Yea, thanks Derek (#II) A. I thought maybe there’ld be differing templates by now, not too mention the top secret default demo site.
Not rushing, I’ll get my looks soon enough.

Looking forward to seeing how things develop. Didn’t get to do this beta as I have in times past, but I’m not as active in the forums these days so that’s not a big surprise.

Do we have any idea on what pricing will be? I’m still using it for personal blogging and am curious as to whether I’ll be able to afford to move up.

Will somebody please spill the beans, is there a built-in wysiwyg editor?  😕

All participants of the beta are bound by an NDA, I am afraid. But you can certainly take another look at the official screenshots Derek A. linked to.

Can anybody say if the beta now includes the Agile Records demo site?
    http://ellislab.com/blog/entry/agile_records_erskine_design_interview/
    http://erskinedesign.com/projects/expressionengine-20-example-site/

I’ld almost lost track of the links to that one.

for people outside the loop like myself - is there any further feedback based upon the BETA and bug reports etc?
Is it going as expected? more or less bugs?
Have there been any major hickups, or just minor typo’s in the documentation?
How are the 3rd party developers getting on? Have they found it easy to convert their plugins - will they be pretty well supported at a no defined release date?

Also how did the Portland event go? Did Kaylee return home in one piece, or did she have a little fun on the backseat after her date!

nevsie - the beta participants are under an NDA and not allowed to release the information you are asking for.

The Portland event? You mean the Train EE class? The two days I was there it went absolutely fabulously.  Loved the class. =)

I was referring to the article “In Which Kaylee Goes on a Date to Portland”

EE2 101 will cover the basics of working with 2.0. In particular we want to show how straight forward the upgrade process is and how the skills you learn in 1.x transfer seamlessly to 2.x.

You know what… i just wrote a very large reply detailing my (everyones?) interest… But then i deleted it. I’ll only get the same answer, same disappointment, and same annoyed replies people have been getting for months. So i will continue to keep quiet and bounce words around in my own head! A lot easier and safer!

Come on nev, the progress is very transparent now. Getting busy w/v.1 branch would be best if there’s work to be done. I know I could use a kick in the pants on the getting busy on “my own” personal sites.
An earlier mention that v.1+ sites would be upgradeable sounded just great, I wouldn’t even hold the company to that though. Progressing to a better product, by whatever means necessary is the way to go.

Yes, the date to Portland was Train EE.  It was a great date. =)
