Man, you Mac people are crazy!  LOL!

I’ve used a few Mac’s in my life, and the latest ones are cool and all, but to claim that Windows doesn’t work or is buggy as hell is just out of control 😊

PS: I just wish IBM would have stuck with OS2-WARP and didn’t give up so INSTANTLY!

When did I say that!? I use Mac, Linux, and Windows…

Sorry, I wasn’t quoting you in general.  I was referring to posts through-out the thread 😊

Best thing about new Macs for me would be that they have gone Intel. That makes it the only machine on which you can multi-boot Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. Legally that is. I wish I’d known that was the plan before I bought my Dual G5 PPC. I would have waited and gotten an intel based monster and dumped three other boxes

I’ve fixed Windows since BEFORE the first public release ever hit the streets. The first usable Windows (version 2.0) had problems, but they were manageable. Same with version 3.x. When 95 came out the same problems were still there and the new interface just made it harder to keep it all stable, but still possible with the same fixes. Then came ME, 2k, XP and Vista. The SAME problems exist even in Vista that existed in 1.x for DOS and the SAME fixes still work, but I won’t mess with it any more.

I write code and I’m sick and tired of fixing someones Windows machine to prove it is not my software causing the problem; so I went Mac. I now run OS X, Suse Linux, and Windows. Windows only to run my compiler to build my apps for that platform. Otherwise I would not run Windows save to play games. It’s just become so much crap ever since Bill Gates lost control of the company after the anti-trust trials. I do agree, however, that IBM’s OS/2 Warp still IS the best OS ever written… Since even AT&T Unix SVR32.

Macs have a more stable OS than PCs. MS Vista is a nightmare, I had to downgrade my OS to get some of my hardware and software to work.

Mac is based on Unix. Besides that Apple was smart and decided to actually change their core entirely when they first introduced OS X, Microsoft on the other hand is still using their shitty NT kernel after more than 10 years.

This essentially means that with every new version of Windows that’s based on the NT kernel, every system will be affected by the same virusses (with little modifications).
