ExpressionEngine 8 and What Comes Next at EEConf 2026

The ExpressionEngine Conference is always one of the highlights of our year, and we’re looking forward to joining the ExpressionEngine community in Toronto on October 7–8 for EEConf 2026.

This year’s conference comes at an especially exciting time for ExpressionEngine. We’re currently aiming to release Version 8.0 before EEConf. While we’re not ready to share all the details just yet, the conference will give us an opportunity to take a much closer look at the release.

We’ll walk through ExpressionEngine 8.0, talk about the thinking behind the release, and share how it helps set the stage for what comes next. Just as importantly, we’ll discuss how we see ExpressionEngine moving forward after 8.0 and what the community can expect in the next phase of the platform.

Of course, EEConf has always been about much more than product announcements. It’s two full days of talks, workshops, practical ideas, and conversations with the developers, designers, agency owners, and other professionals who use ExpressionEngine every day. It’s also a chance to reconnect with old friends, meet new people, and learn from the experiences of others across the community.

This year’s event will be held at Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto. Whether you’ve been part of the ExpressionEngine community for years or are just getting started, we’d love to see you there.
