A powerful visual drag-and-drop block-style page builder based on ContentBox.js

PageCraft puts a real page designer inside the ExpressionEngine publish form. Editors build layouts from a library of ready-made sections — heroes, features, galleries, article spreads — then edit content, swap imagery, adjust columns, and restyle without leaving the entry they’re working on. Everything saves as a normal field on a normal entry.

It doesn’t ask you to rebuild your site around it. PageCraft uses the CSS, JavaScript, fonts, and framework you already have. Bootstrap, Tailwind, a custom design system, or nothing at all — you choose the grid framework per field, and Native mode leaves your markup exactly as you wrote it. Images store as EE file references rather than hardcoded URLs, so content survives a domain change or a move between staging and production.

Developers stay in control of the boundaries. Register your own HTML sections from the control panel and they become first-class options in the editor. Define the approved colors, styles, blocks, and layout tools per field, so the marketing site can have the full designer while the client who shouldn’t have it gets three locked sections. Editors move faster without becoming designers; you spend less time undoing creative interpretations of the brand.

Layouts don’t have to mean static content. PageCraft pulls channel entries, relationships, and other structured EE content directly into sections, so blog feeds, team members, locations, products, and testimonials stay dynamic instead of being recreated by hand on every page.

Version 2.0 adds Canvas sections for free-position, gridless layout with per-breakpoint control; a no-code animation panel with on-view triggers, scroll scrubbing, and section pinning; AI Code Chat for editing layouts by plain instruction, routed through a server-side proxy so keys never reach the browser; and Template Ingest, which turns a commercial HTML template ZIP into editable PageCraft sections. A form builder, navigation builder, and grid builder are included.
