Upgraded fine, and so far everything seems to be working, including the mentioned plugins NavEE, SwitchEE, SEO Lite
However, all of these projects seem dead now… I wondered if people have replacements they suggest, or anything with data migration?
It is not a big site, so manually changing can be done, but would prefer not to! Any advice appreciated.
Thanks, N
Hi Neil,
Thanks for getting in touch about this.
It looks like NavEE has been updated to support EE 6.x https://devot-ee.com/add-ons/navee
SwitchEE looks like it was updated in the repo to support EE 5.x after a quick peek at the code I don’t see anything that would stop it from working in version 6.
On SEO Lite, you can import that data into SEEO https://eeharbor.com/seeo
Theres also a new version of sorts for SEO Lite. https://expressionengine.com/add-ons/seo-lite-v2 My understanding is that you can’t upgrade directly to it, however I believe there was some discussion around this in slack earlier this week, and it sounds like it can be done with a fairly minimal lift. https://eecms.slack.com/archives/C04CUNNR9/p1641854496036600
I hope this is helpful!

Thanks for update. Their (the outfit, Navee) site only states EE3 support! Weird!
SeoLite I just saw a post on github for SEOlite V2 that stats upgrades / imports will be coming soon. That was Dec 2021. I’ll look at the other.
Minor plugin like switchee I am not too concerned about. They were minimally used, so might remove. But yes they appear to still work.
Thanks for the reply. N
So many new posts in the past months from people that want to upgrade or are upgrading from older versions makes me very happy. It means EE is growing again 😍
As for previous older add-ons, if they are working in the latest release, I would not be too worried about them in case some are left to die by the original developers. The new owners, Packet Tide made the right decision by releasing version 6 as a Long Term Release, which means it will be supported for many years to come, and you don’t need to find a replacement for the outdated add-ons anytime soon as long.
