Do you have a live demo of this set up anywhere?

Can you limit one member to one blog?

Any sort of pagination if you want to limit the number of posts on a page?

Does look nice. I’m guessing you could uses this to deploy common site elements as well? Footers, secondary navigations, etc.? Or am I thinking about this all wrong.

I don’t have a demo set up anywhere and probably won’t do, however, I will be recording a screencast otor two which should be a good enough demo. You can’t limit members to blogs yet, but nice idea, I’ll add that to the list. Pagination isn’t in there yet. I was toying with it but decided against it for the 1.0.0 release, as I want to keep the add-on as small and simple as possible.

You can use it wherever you want dynamic content that is frequently being updated! Blogs, news, galleries, articles, games, listings, job offers, whatever.

Hope that clears up any concerns you’ve got.

I actually wrote those docs a little while ago when I was using json_encode to handle some serialisation stuff. That’s no longer the case, so MojoBlog will run on PHP5.1.

One question, out of curiosity - how do you add a new blog on MojoBlog (after it’s been set up)? Is there a link? Is it through MojoBars?

Blogs are created on the fly. Just add a new {mojo:blog:entry_form} tag with the new blog name and any entries created through that form will be in the new blog. Blogs are simply lightweight containers, just like ExpressionEngine channels.

Err, I get that part. What I meant was, how/where do you create those new entries?

The {mojo:blog:entry_form} tag outputs a form inline when an administrator is logged in. It’s inline, right next to the content.

This plugin seems to be the missing bit I was looking for!

As you say, it could be used for galleries or any other content that requires a ‘container’ of content. But one of the benefits of having a container of content is the ability to list the items in the container - can this plugin do that?

Or can you use the Mojo Motor navigation tools to list items in the blog?

With the addition of categories, tags and user comments, this little combo would suit me for most small-medium websites.
