I have a simple login form here.
    meetings.ou.org/bbest

I need to NOT allow multiple logins with the same username.

When I set sessions to session ids only in the control panel and the site I can’t login to the site but can login to the CP.

When the form is submitted I get to the ee page that says “you are now logged in - click here if not automatically redirected”
I’m redirected to the page specified in the return parameter
    But I’m not logged in.

I can login with cookies and session ids but it is still possible for multiple logins on the same account.

I’ve checked the control panel log and there is no record of logging in for that user.
The user I’m testing happens to be a super admin but it won’t work with any member group I’ve setup.

I’m running the latest build of 1.6.7
    Extensions are disabled
    testing in ff and IE7

Try from some other computer, or even network. I suspect it might be a local issue, perhaps a firewall or something like that, especially given that cookies only work.

I’ve tried another network and computer.
    The same problem.
Also, session ID only works for the control panel but not for the front of the site.
Were you able to login with the credentials In the post?

Gary, the login information was removed from this post.

Also, it looks like that template is in flux, I don’t see any sort of login info, and I see {radio_footer} at the bottom of the page…

It’s a test page and the login form works for cookies and session id and cookies.
    Just not for session ID.

Are you saying you don’t see the login form?

Gary, are you using strictly EE, or are you using the Solspace User module?

    EE only.
Its a separate instance of EE which we just setup yesterday.  We needed it to deal with this multiple users logging into one account.

Could it have anything to do with the domain?

    Possibly.

So are you certain that you need a different instance?

Do you have your cookie domain set on the primary site?

Gary, let’s back this up a bit.

    What are your actual goals?

To prevent multiple logins? Are you using the MSM?

Which version/build of ExpressionEngine are you using? You can find that out at the bottom of any control panel page.

The current version is 1.6.7 and the build is 20090515.

We need to limit access to some of our webcasts.

We don’t want users to be able to give out their logins to others.

So we want to not allow multiple logins from the same account.

    We are not using MSM.

    EE 1.6.7 -  build is 20090515.

How does ouradio.com fit into this?

Where is your login redirect going to?

The redirect will take the user to the same page which has a conditional that will display a linked when logged in.

OUradio is just a temporary template that we’re using.

The user will stay in meetings.ou.org domain.

So your return parameter is something like: return=”{segment_1}/{segment_2}/{segment_3}” ??
