hey guys,

i have a problem in forum sometimes when i try to login or send a post, it shows me a message says “You are not authorized to perform this action”

and i have to refresh the page many many times to get through this,

any solution ?

This happens to a handful of people.

Most of the time the cause is a rotating proxy of some sort.  Some corporations and a couple of ISPs do this.  Do you know if this applies to you - in other words, does your IP change periodically?

well im , on a LAN network, maybe it has something to do with the router ?

or maybe it’s my ISP proxy ?

Likely to be ISP, i haven’t logged out the site since February, with IP changes. I’m on the Tiscali network with OpenDNS.

I am with tiscali and cannot connect to the codeigniter website from home except via proxy.  I have tried on three different computers and two connections (both tiscali) almost 100 miles apart.

have you had any problems.

I also cannot connect to ellislabs or expression engine, all of which are on the same host.

Tiscali insist that it is a setting on my computer.

Any ideas?

Don’t Listen to them,they said exactly the same thing when I couldn’t connect to my own website. I found that it was there dns servers that failed the connection, the solution was simple. change your dns servers from Tiscali to OpenDNS. OpenDNS provide free redundant dns servers, that you can update if you have troubles connecting to websites. They also speed up and make your internet more reliable due to the global availability and the cache.
