Thanks to Cocoaholic for the fantastic Multiple Newsletter extension.
It never ceases to amaze us as to the flexibiltiy of EE, and it always seems that new challenges we are faced with are prempted by either an extension, or a feature of EE that we have not exploited before.
Until now. Yes I know Campaingn Monitor, Constant Contact and the like are amazing services, and really are value for money for what they do, but is there a way to achive even a fraction of their functionality through EE?
We are trying to see at least how many emails have been opened, after being sent out through Multiple Newsletter and the Communicate Module.
The techniques we are try is creating an individual ‘counter’ image in each Newsletter, and using PHP counting the amounts of downloads.
This means that we will have to create a reporting page outside of the Control Panel.
Has anybody succeeded in this? Or are be barking up the wrong tree?
Does anybody in the Extension Development community think that athey might be able to create an extenson to do this?
