    Hi folks,
Seems like I saw a discussion awhile back about ee 2.0 not having the term weblog in it. Was there ever a consensus or is it known what the new word or term will be?

The ouija board says the new term is going to be “channel” 😉

Well, it didn’t really “speak” or “say” it was more along the lines of “moved mysteriously using secret ajax web 4.0 powers to spell out what we think is ‘channel’”.

Was I mistaken, then, in thinking the word would be “sections?”

Yes, “section” has an incorrect connotation for what “weblogs” are in terms of ExpressionEngine’s architecture, and has likewise contributed towards a learning curve that is difficult for some.  The term “section” was quickly coined as a suggestion to attempt to pull away from the connotation that “weblog” carries, but it still does not appropriately describe what it is, and confuses the issue further when you consider its use as a tag.

And it’s boring, I know, but yummy brain pudding, not the supernatural, was used to determine the new terminology.

There Derek goes spreading misinformation again.  The truth is that a seven inch tall green, floating alien with a space helmet from the planet Zatox appeared over my shoulder and gave me the name.

Then he called me “dum-dum” and vanished with a pop.

I’m not so sure about that.
Even if it isn’t true any more, the “720+” has cemented itself in the back of our heads..
