    Hi all

I am an avid supported of EngineHosting and have been using it for a while now. I have a client that is currently on one andone and I’m going to be redesigning her site with EE and am leaning towards moving her over but she really wants to have Microsoft Exchange email so that her and a few colleagues can use the same email database (with 600+ emails) and diary etc. I know EH don’t provide exchange so what would you lot recommend? The only company that I have used that provide exchange is fasthosts.

Any ideas or suggestions will be welcomed.

    Many thanks

i believe you can run the MS exchange with 1and1 as a separate service? Therefore even if you are pointing your main website to Engine Hosting, you can change your mail records, MX records to point to the 1and1 service. Therefore you geta fast website host, and MS exchange mail service. But yes you are paying for two separate services!

I’m trying to avoid paying for both. There appears to be a few pure Exchange hosting services out there which might be an option. Has anyone used any of them?

    Hi Mike
These guys seem to get good reviews:http://www.123together.com/ but I have not used them.

...she really wants to have Microsoft Exchange email so that her and a few colleagues can use the same email database (with 600+ emails)...

What do you mean? A distribution group?
Exchange can be very pricey to outsource…why not run it in house?

Don’t know them well, but I’ve heard of: mailtrust.com

@lebisol: Cool I’ll check them out. The 600+ email database refers to a contact list of individuals. Running in in-house isn’t an option. Its only a small company and they don’t have any facilities to set-up Exchange themselves.

@Nevin Lyne: Great, thanks! Thats very helpful

@jo22: I’ll check them out too.

Thanks everyone this is all really helpful

I used Sherweb and they were amazing. However, they are pricey… DON’T USE 1 AND 1. They blow.

I’d like to add, eNom also offers Exchange hosting at 9.50 per mailbox. Not sure of the size limit, but i’m sure it’s nominal. most people pull their mail off the server and store it locally in pst files anyway.

I have not used the eNom service for Exchange, however I have used them for the last 7 years for domain registration, transfer and maintenance and I can’t remember a single time I had a complaint.

The link for their exchange service is here:

EDIT: Exchange Mail includes storage of 250MB
