We have set our weblog summary field to be xhtml input, and ee appears to add an extra opening paragraph tag in the output. I have checked our templates more than once, and there is a paragraph tag there that is not in our template and is not in our content.
please help.
UPDATE: we are trimming the fields to 7 words so only seeing the opening paragraph tag, but we don’t want the paragraph tags adding to our content, why does EE do this?

What version and build are you on? Also, do you’ve got a link to where we can see this for ourselves? Formatting: XHTML would do that, I think. Why not use “None”?

we are using xhtml because for some reason, when set to none, and we put in a single quote, our template blows up, which is another issue. We have not figured this out yet.

OK, so you are using XHTML. May I ask again, what version and build? And perhaps a link so we can see this behavior in action?
