It’s really funny how so many people put faith in the US presidents - as if any of them really have the power or desire to “change” anything. In a year or so I’m going to laugh at the people that finally realize this.

I voted for chuck baldwin the nominee of the Constitution party isn’t it terrible some people did not even know chuck baldwin was even on the ballout. The media here in the states don’t like other political parties besides Democrat and republicans
we need an independent here so bad I am so sick of Dem and repubs. obama wants to bankrupt companies that burn coal well I guess that means I better break out the electric blanket and flash lights cause if his policy’s get passed into law it’s going to cost a lot more to heat my home with him in office then with any other pres before him

I voted for Obama. I think his policies will help our country succeed and pull out of the hole bush stuck us in. I cant wait to see what he is going to do with the new CTO position he wants to add to cabinet. I think he will also gain respect and belief in America from foreign countries who bush really pissed off.

I agree that I’m sick of the Democrats and Republicans; they are two sides of the same coin.
However, claiming that Obama wants to bankrupt companies seems a little disingenuous to me. I firmly believe that we need to focus on developing sustainable and renewable energy technologies. Burning stuff we take out of the earth just isn’t a realistic long term solution. Eventually it will run out, and in the interim we are polluting.
Of course, I held an unpopular opinion on the gas prices here in the US as well. I firmly believe that the only way we will wean ourselves from the teat of the oil companies is to have a realistic gas price, like around $10/gallon. Subsidizing our oil prices to keep them low and consumption high is - once again - a short-term solution.
And personally, I have no problem breaking out (non-electric) blankets and flashlights if it’s to make a better world for me and my children.
But many people in the US (and the rest of the developed world) have been trained to think only in the short-term and to focus on immediate gratification. It’s going to be hard to unlearn that kind of selfish mentality.

I actually have a Solar PV system. Usefull for some small things. Can’t power a Washer or dryer. Unless I put few more grand into it, so far I already put about a grand into mine. Solar energry is not used to often becuase it cost a alot. About 5$ a watt. So you watt a 30 watt solar panel your looking about 200. Also you need deep cycle batteries an a inverter to convert the DC to AC, black tape, and volt meter, and wires, a ladder to get on your roof, etc, so ya.. it adds up from just buying the initial panel.

I’m going to agree completely. I have this stuff I eat called oats, which is cheap like 4 dollar and gives you breakfast for like 2 months. My Sister was over said she was hungry and I said have some oats and she was like no that is gross! The kids today are learned to eat only junk food that costs fortune, even poor people are the same they are in poverty and have to buy gourmant foods, there is alot of commondity non-processed food out there like rice and oats, bags of beans, you can buy in bulk, Like a 20 pound bag of rice is 20 dollars, and that thing will feed you for a month for only cents on each meal. There is no reason for them to go hungry. They just do’t want to buy stuff like that. They got to have pizza pockets, KFC, MacDonalds and processed meats when they can’t even afford it.
The people today in developed countries are so brainwashed they forget the basics of surviving.

hey there is also mud pies we can eat that to. mud pies for breakfast like the people in Haiti do. those poor people having to eat dirt to survive only God can help them. This morning I had total cereal with a sippie apple juice last night I had pot roast and rice for dinner today I am going to eat Cornish hens and bacon with and fresh mash potatoes and string beans
So I like sleeping with my heat on so my nose don’t get cold at night and savor a good home cooked meal that makes me selfish right. Yes I predict that obama will raise my electricity bill and what happens to the food in the supermarket they need electricity to keep the food cold so it don’t spoil so they will raise the price of my food. Everything is interdependent.
