Congrats, Robin, and congrats Rick for another excellent pick.

What happened to the old code mechanic? Oh and congrats and stuff. 😉

Whee! Thanks, folks. I’m looking forward to it. I’ve been so focused on the tech support forum I’m starting to feel like my view of things is constricted. I’m hoping to be a lot more active in the development forums and ‘How to’ now, take time to cruise through site introductions, learn more from the CSS pros, etc. Kinda like back before I worked for EL. Er- back before there was an EL, not that I think on it!

More congrats, Robin - thanks for all your help in the past, and I look forward to more in the future 😊

Congrats Robin!

Congrats Robin. I hate to say it, but what exactly does a “Code Mechanic” do? From the post I thought you would be working directly on EE coding, but from your response a couple posts up it sounds like you’re still an active support person on the forum?
Either way - congrats Robin!
P.S. - If you are still involved in the forums but in an expanded arena I think that’s great. There are some areas that could use some help I think - the technical areas of extension/module/plug-ins don’t really get answers like other areas. It’s pretty hit or miss whether you get a response, which is a shame since those Qs are from people who are usually giving back to the community! Can you tell I’ve got an unanswered question in the extension tech support area? 😉

Grats rob1. Does this mean the download lock pro module will be delayed? :D

Yep I’ve got a couple of those too 😉
Would be great to get a bit more help in those forums because as Brian says we like to give back as much as we can. I for one give away all (well all except one) plugins that I create to the community but sometimes I get severe headaches trying to figure everything out so some more help in those areas would be great 😉
Best wishes,
Mark
