What is that? Why is that in your post.

Oh sorry, I thought most of you would know. It means “second”, as in “seconded, i agree with the above”

If you what you quoted (That is what you seconded) and what you replied against that qoute in your previous post with the “²” was not contradicting to the fact you said you agreed with as you state here, i would think your being sarcastic. 😊

    LOL 😛

I was agreeing to the “americans crack me up”...

omfg, I just read about the 8year old boy who shot himself with a Uzi on a gun fair. He got to fire a uzi but the gun flipped out of his hand, flipped over and shot the boy.

WHO on earth is so stupid to let 8year olds handle fire arms!!!

How about everybody lightening up before there is a massive fall-out.

How about discussing “shooting yourself in the foot”?

A lot of kids around where I live (Vermont, USA) know how to shoot. Hunting is a big part of the culture in the far northeast and a lot of summer camps have rifle programs. Even with the proliferation and ‘gun culture,’ there’s only been a handful of issues with kids hurting themselves or others with firearms. But this gets back to my point that it’s not the weapon that’s the problem, it’s the culture in which the weapon exists. Change the culture and the problem goes away.

hey, you are right in this context but let’s just be clear ... i think 99.99999% of gun owners will tell you that letting an 8 year old handle a submachine gun is something you NEVER do. besides the firepower, it’s not balanced well, meaning you have to have a firm grip on it as there is no shoulder support or length to compensate from it’s desire to swing up into the air. it’s a tragic story of incompetence!

that’s a huge difference from teaching your son to shoot with a low caliber rifle so you can go hunting together! huge!

i realize for city people, they can’t comprehend gun ownership, but in the woods it’s a different world my friends.

disarm americans and we might not be able to take this country back from hell after 4 years of killing the american dream with socialist tendencies. oops, i went there! via la revolution!  😉

there is a reason it’s written into the constitution people ... that is of course, if you even care about that dusty old document!

People having guns is always a bad idea.  Yet, if there is one thing the internet has taught me, it’s to buy an empty pump-action shotgun.  That sound is all it takes…

eh ... until they shoot back at you

I know personally that having a gun on a bad day is a bad idea. like just say you go into to work and your boss is being a prick and decides to make your life hell for no reason at all. If I had a gun and was a lot off balance that day, It would be to easy to go postal.

On the other hand if this or any country becomes tyrannical then maybe having a gun is a good thing but that is a different story

I think it would be better for me to learn ninjutsu
or something then when I learn how to control my emotions then maybe I can move up to getting a gun but right now if I had one it would be to easy for me to use it and end it all

Seriously, find out if there’s a local group practicing Parkour and try that first. It improves balance, mobility, and provides you a much larger set of applicable skills than a martial art. In a world where long-range weapons are common, developing a short-ranged combat skill set seems a bit ridiculous: Parkour emphasizes approaching and overcoming physical obstacles as an efficient way to achieve a goal, whether that goal is travel, persuit, or escape. It’s also less burdened with metaphysical mumbo-jumbo that can be hard to sort through, especially as someone new to the martial arts.

And if you must learn a martial art, start with Gongfu (Kung Fu), which is very much about centering and calming the mind and body before it is about violence. It’ll also get you doing some Qigong, which is great for strengthening your micromuscles and should get you thinking about how your body is structured and how it moves through space.

That is not a reason for promoting guns use and diffusion.
Guns are made and meant for killing (people), automobiles aren’t.

The idea you buy and own an instrument made for killing a living being (human or animal) is unacceptable to me.
Nobody should be in the position to decide if some other must live or die.

    Just my two cents.

Ah cool, my sister is in mission bay. I’m seriously considering moving out there at the mo.

Are there plenty of decent I.T jobs going?
