Hey guys…

Forgive my Mac illiteracy.  I’m switching a client to new hosting.  So, of course their email will be wiped clean.  All the client will need to do is update the SMTP and IMAP server addresses and some ports, but I’m pretty sure that their inbox will be wiped clean when Mail.app syncs with the new mail server.

So my question:  Is there some way in Mail.app that she can save the messages from her current account (pre-moving) locally so they’re not affected by the move?

Yep, create new local folders (plus button on the bottom left), drag and drop the email from the old account to your new local folders, and boom, as it were.
